As a neurodivergent individual, I have always been fascinated by the way our minds work.
For a long time, I thought I was simply different. Over time, I have come to understand that many of the things I once questioned are also strengths: creativity, pattern recognition, hyperfocus, curiosity, empathy, and the ability to connect ideas others may overlook.
At the same time, strengths and challenges can exist together.
Different ways of thinking can be powerful, but they still deserve support, structure, and understanding.
Why I Built ADHDToolbox
That is why I built ADHDToolbox, a small collection of tools designed to help neurodivergent individuals navigate everyday life with a little more ease, structure, and support.
The goal is simple: practical tools that are easy to access, easy to use, and useful in the small everyday moments where structure can make a big difference.
You can try it here: adhdtoolbox.farisaurus.com
I would love for people to try it, break it, and tell me what would make it more useful. Accessibility, continuous improvement, and feedback are important to me, and this project is still evolving.
Accessibility and Belonging
On a personal note, inclusivity has always been one of my core values.
My journey supporting FAME, an event platform celebrating People of Determination in the UAE, shaped much of how I think about accessibility, belonging, and the many different ways people experience the world.
That experience helped me understand that accessibility is not just a checklist. It is not just about adding accommodations after something has already been built.
Accessibility is about designing with people in mind from the beginning.
Different Is Not Less
Differences in ability are not deficits to overcome. They are diverse ways of thinking, communicating, creating, and contributing.
Accessibility is not just about accommodation.
It is about belonging.
A Note for Testers
The website was built with the help of AI, and while I have tested it on my end, bugs are expected.
Feel free to test the app and poke around, but please do not run DoS, stress tests, or anything that could disrupt the service.
If you find a bug, issue, or security vulnerability, please report it by emailing [email protected]. I will work on fixing it and credit contributors on the main website.
